Welcome to Planetary Mineralogy Group
at Nanjing University!
We investigate both the high-temperature processes in the solar nebula and the secondary processes that have prevailed and are prevailing on the surface of planets and asteroids. Our research mainly relies on in-situ and microscopic observations and analyses on petrography, mineralogy, and geochemistry of minerals in meteorites and mission-returned samples. Our aim is to understand how the solar nebula and its planets and asteroids evolved, based on the microscopic records in planetary materials.
